| Room Name: | Great Room Update | | Room Type: | Kitchen | | Room Description: | The original kitchen was open in the center so all prep work was done with the cook's back to the sitting area. The function and flow of the kitchen were changed with the addition of a large center island.
This updated great room, sitting, and TV area is the heart of the client's home. A custom bookcase housing a TV, music equipment and books centralizes this family area. The comfortable seating is scaled to work with the room size.
A touch of French country style shows in the sitting area with yellow, blue and cream fabrics. Delft tile surrounds the fireplace. The subtle colorations are classic. A two-foot porcelain goose rounds out the European influence. |
