The client loves ultra contemporary style. We used a glass and steel dining table and leather chairs from Design Within Reach for a sleek look. The chandelier is a minimal silver oval, picking up the color of steel in the table base. About This Project:
| Objective: | To create a masculine, contemporary, but warm dining room that related to the rest of the great room. | | Challenges: | There were many conflicting colors in various parts of the great room. Existing art and fixtures did not work well with the blue color the client loved. Ceiling fixture was outdated. | | Results: | By prioritizing with the client, we found that he absolutely loved the blue walls. We added art he loved that worked better with the colors. We used blue in other parts of the great room to tie in with the dining room. The contemporary furniture and light fixture are very contemporary, minimal, and masculine in feel. The glass sculpture on the table adds color and graceful curves. The art adds warmth of color. |
