About This Project:
| Objective: | We transformed the all-white, standard-issue kitchen by removing a wall to open up the kitchen into the living space. Once complete the warm colors, and contrasts of surfaces create an inviting space with a modern aesthetic. | | Challenges: | A. Houck Designs renovation of this small kitchen started with a big challenge: how to create an open kitchen within the confines of the condominium's construction limits | | Results: | For this kitchen, we took a decidedly modern approach, seamlessly blending light and dark elements with smooth and rough surfaces. The result is far from standard issue. |
