To create a fresh, contemporary Powder Room from an outdated existing one, the designer converted an antique Japanese tansu chest into a pullman. Its sliding doors conceal shelves for storage. She then added a glass counter top, a wood splash and paired the chiseled granite sink with chrome wall-mounted hardware. The application of tone-on-tone grass cloth squares gives the walls a modern oriental look and accentuates the texture. |
