The first 3 years of my career, I worked in commercial design. During that time, I became proficient in AutoCAD, and worked on projects ranging from tenant improvments to senior living facilities to medical offices to restaurants.
In 2002, I passed the NCIDQ exam and became a Professional Member of ASID. I became a Wisconsin Registered Interior Designer in 2008. For the past 10 years, I have been working in residential interior design. My specialties include new construction projects and remodeling, and I am able to work with any budget to create a look that reflects your personal style. I guide my clients through their selections, for both the interior and the exterior of their homes, and work to keep the project on track.
I have recently been asked to contribute a bi-monthly column about interior design topics for a local magazine, Metro Women. I have also been a contributor to the Plinth & Chintz website, along with the Ava Living website, and I am always interested in other opportunities to write about interior design. I also maintain and write for my website dedicated to teaching homeowners about good design: http://www.alittledesignhelp.com.
I am available for "virtual consultations" via Ava Living, email, internet and snail mail for clients around the country.
I am also a busy working mom of 2 children. I enjoy biking, camping, art, crafts (basically anything creative), reading and spending time with my family. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering with my local library, church and school. |
