10) What is "Inspiration"?
Room and Profile Inspirations are photos of things that inspired you or your room design. You can share your room inspirations with your friends/fans/visitors so they get to know the inspirations behind your design. It's another clue to understanding your design styles. If other members' room photos or inspiration photos inspire you, you can choose to add them to your own inspiration to appear in your own space. [back to top]
11) How do I edit or delete a comment made on someone else's room?
You can't edit or delete comments you make on other people's room. Once you've made a comment, it can only be removed or moderated by the room owner. [back to top]

- Log in with your email address and password.
- Select the room with the comment you would like to remove.

AvaVision
1) What is AvaVision?
AvaVision is our proprietary tool that enables you to create an interactive 3D photographic tour of your room. AvaVision will automatically assemble your photos to create stunning full color panoramas up to 360°. [back to top]
2) What do I need to create an AvaVision for my room?
All you need is a digital camera. Use your digital camera to take individual photos of your room. The photos should be taken in sequence, must have 20% -30% overlap and ideally are taken with a tripod. Click here to see More Tips. [back to top]
3) What type of camera do I need?
A 1 megapixel (1024x768) digital camera is all that is required for very good results. [back to top]
4) Is a tripod necessary?
No, it is possible to create an AvaVision with photos without a tripod. However, it's best to use a tripod so you can shoot the photos without moving the camera off center, but a steady hand will work just as well. [back to top]
5) Which camera orientation works best for AvaVision?
You will capture more area of the room if you hold the camera in portrait view (tall and narrow).
Choose a camera view and do not change it between portrait and landscape in one panorama. This will result in an unsatisfactory AvaVision. [back to top]
6) Is there a recommended sequence for taking photos for AvaVision?
Photos will need to be arranged in a clockwise sequence, so it is best to take your photos in a clockwise rotation. If you prefer to photograph in a counterclockwise direction, just remember to upload the photos in reverse order. Regardless, you will have the opportunity to change the order of the photos using the AvaVision creation tools. It is best to take photos from the same horizontal line of rotation. Tripods make this easier to accomplish but are not required. [back to top]
7) What is the required overlapping of photos for AvaVision?
Select imaginary overlaps of 20% - 30% to right or left in your camera's view-finder. Avoid making the overlaps too large for best results.
If your camera has a panorama setting, then use it. This will help you line up your shots. [back to top]
8) What lens setting should I use when creating photos for AvaVision?
The 50mm and 35mm settings, in most circumstances, will produce the best results. Most cameras including a mobile phone camera will produce reasonable results at either setting.
Do not change your camera lens and/or zoom settings in one panorama. This will result in distortion of your AvaVision. [back to top]
9) How many photos do I need for an AvaVision?
The number of photos needed for an AvaVision depends on the angle of your panorama (from a simple 60° horizontal for example up to a full 360° horizontal). As an rule of thumb, an average 10'x10' room taken in portrait mode requires between 6 to 8 photographs.
Use as wide an angle as possible on the camera lens. This will capture more of the area with each shot and reduce the number of photos you have to take. [back to top]
10) How do I add an AvaVision to My Room?
To add an AvaVision to your existing room:
- Select the room you wish to add an AvaVision
- Click the "Edit Room" link
- Click the "AvaVision & Photos" tab
- Click the "Add a new AvaVision" link
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create your own AvaVision [back to top]
To add an AvaVision to a new room:

- Click the "Add New Room" button
- Fill out the information for your room
- Click the "Save" button
- Select the "AvaVision & Photos" tab
- Click the "Add a new AvaVision" link
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create your own AvaVision [back to top]
11) Is there a limit to how many AvaVisions I can create?
We don't have any limit for the number of AvaVisions you can create so go for it and have fun. [back to top]
12) Do I need to upload the photos in a given order?
You do not need to upload your photos in a specific order. You will have the ability to rotate and move the photos left or right before generating your AvaVision. [back to top]
13) Which type of photo file format can I upload to create my AvaVision?
Your photo files must be in .JPG or .GIF format. [back to top]
14) How large can my photos be?
Make sure each individual photo file is 2MB or less. We do not allow photos over 2MB. [back to top]
15) What is the optimal photo quality for AvaVision?
For best results use photos with resolutions of greater than 500 pixels in height. There's no advantage to using photos with more that 1,000 pixels in height. Photos with resolutions lower than 500 pixels in height are still useable, they may just result in an AvaVision of reduced quality. [back to top]
16) What is Field of View?
Field of View is the angular extent of the room that you photograph.
We will estimate the "Field of View" value for you based on the number of photos you upload. If you wish to change it, just key in a new value before generating your AvaVision preview.
If you wish to revert back to our original recommended Field of View value, just click on the "Decide for Me" button and re-generate your preview.
You can try different values until you're satisfy with the result. As long as you don't save the AvaVision, you can re-generate your preview as many times as you like. [back to top]
17) What is the function of the "Decide for Me" button?
The "Decide for Me" button automatically calculates "Field of View" value that's estimated based on the number of photos you upload. [back to top]
18) What is the function of the "360 degree view" checkbox?
Check this box ONLY if your photos cover an entire 360° view, AND you want to create a seamless circular panorama. If you want to change from 360° to standard panoroma (non-wrapping), uncheck the box and re-generate the preview. NOTE: Once your AvaVision is Saved, it cannot be changed. [back to top]
19) What is the function of the "Save and Display" button?
After previewing your AvaVision and you're happy with it, click "Save and Display" to accept the AvaVision and make it available for viewing.
NOTE: This action will discard all individual photos that were needed to create your AvaVision and your AvaVision becomes un-editable. You cannot restitch or modify it without uploading the photos again. [back to top]
20) How can I change the caption of my AvaVision?
To change the caption of your AvaVision:
- Select the room with your AvaVision
- Click the "Edit Room" link
- Click the "AvaVision & Photos" tab
- Place your cursor in the Caption box to the right of your AvaVision and edit your caption [back to top]
21) I uploaded photos and generated my AvaVision, but I cannot view it.
