Thank you so much for allowing me to review your room. While your room seems very comfy and cozy, it does seem a bit crowded. After carefully reviewing all of the pictures of your room, I do have a few recommendations that would allow your room to "live larger": (1) consider hanging the tv on the wall and lose the two end piers and bridge of the entertainment center; (2) consider moving the chair to another room; (3) remove the round end table (one in foreground by loveseat); and (4) remove iron seat/hook piece (behind loveseat). You could replace this piece with decorative hooks that take up zero floor space, but still allow you to hang items. The decorative items on the ent. ctr. shelves can be placed on wall shelves and hung by the artwork above the sofa. By adding shelves around the artwork, the wall will now have a more balanced look and feel in relation to the sofa. I would also recommend adding more texture and pattern to the room. You could do this with a patterned area rug, throw pillows, window treatments, etc. And while your walls are dramatic, I do believe a neutral background would be more complimentary. You could go one of two ways...the first way would be to stay calm and relaxing. In that case, I recommend a soothing green (check out Sherwin Williams 7743 Mountain Road). The second way would be to add some contrast and brighten up the room (check out Sherwin Williams 7695 Mesa Tan). A few last words of advice...when hanging artwork, hang at eye level (about 65" above the floor), but above all, have fun decorating and don't be afraid to experiment! Don't be afraid to think outside of the box!
