Interior Design Trends for Spring 2011
I was at the Las Vegas
Furniture & Accessories Market last week to see what’s new and
exciting in interior design for Spring 2011. I was also there to check
out new accessories and accent furniture pieces to add to our brand new
online shopping site – Innovations Interior Design Home Decor. If you haven’t yet seen the unique and beautiful accessory pieces on this site, please take a look now. I’ve personally selected every single piece, and each and every one is fabulous. There are stylish lamps, lovely artwork and wall decor, beautiful mirrors, creative permanent plants & florals, attractive trays, decorative boxes, eye-catching candleholders, delightful sculptures, and distinctive accent furniture pieces
including accent tables, pedestals, ottomans, and chairs. I’ve
included a designer note with my thoughts on each piece, and I’ve
selected complementary pieces so that you can easily see which pieces
work well together. I’ve also included a section of Designer’s Favorites
– these are some of the pieces that I personally like best. We’ll be
adding new pieces soon, and I’ll post as soon as the new pieces are
available for you to see.
So what’s new for Spring 2011?
Well, spring is coming and color is everywhere. Bright, vibrant hues
are going to be very popular. In one of my favorite Las Vegas showrooms
for lighting I spotted these gorgeous, colorful lamps. The shades are
Tiffany style art glass, and they really make a statement. The lamp
with the ivory shade is our Veronica Table Lamp, currently available on our shopping site. The others will be coming soon.

Bright, vibrant colors will be
all the rage for spring, but reds, rusts, oranges, and yellows are going
to be especially fashionable. Additionally, Tuscan design is more
popular than ever. I love this Tuscan inspired rustic pottery in the
warm, sunny colors of Tuscany.

Another
great find at the Las Vegas Market was a line of ironwork from
Tuscany. All of the designs are created by a couple from Michigan who
travel to Tuscany for their inspiration. Having been in Tuscany just a
few months ago, I can vouch for the authenticity of their designs. They
have some lovely wine cradles, lazy Susans, marble servers, iron fruit
baskets, and many other Tuscan-designed home accessory pieces. They’ll
be on our shopping site very soon.

How do you plan to add some color to your home for spring? Let me know what you find!
Until next time,
Pamela
